SXSW 2013: Parquet Courts

Who: Four bro’s from Brooklyn, with a pair of brothers between them.
What: Punk-garage that recalls all the best moments of Fugazi, and more so, Eddy Current Suppression Ring. Yeah, you can see why I might like this band.
How: Super tight playing, a killer bass player who thrashes about and drives that rhythm section, and two vocalists (sometimes three) who shout-sing their way though a very energetic, toe-tapping set.
The view: Not too many smiles on stage but they seemed to be having a ball. A band completely in sync with one another. A joy to watch.
Afterthoughts: Parquet Courts were one of a very few bands who I wanna see again at SXSW. Just for the fun of it.
